HKG - LAX:

When we were in Hong Kong and having lunch with my niece and her family who took UA flight from SFO to HKG. She told us that the FAs that servicing the Business Class Cabin in her flight were rude and unfriendly.

In the middle of the flight, her younger daughter (age 4) was hungry and wanted a cup of noodle. She took a cup of noodle from the snack cart and asked the FA for hot water. Later, her older daughter (age 7) also wanted the noodle, so she took another one and asked FA for hot water. After both girls were done and went to sleep, she was tired and hungry. She took a cup of noodle and went to the galley for hot water. The FA saw my niece again and said in a rude tone of voice, 'How many cup of noodle did you have?' My niece replied, 'NONE!!'

She was so mad because that FA was rude and unhelpful. She said that he did not even offer to bring the hot cup noodle to her seat. I told her I didn't have this problem on any of UA flights because everytime I asked for hot water for the cup noodle, every FA always told me to go back to my seat and they would bring the noodle to me.

Ha! I spoke too soon!!!

On our return UA flight 856 from Hong Kong to Los Angeles, I felt that I was not in Business Class, I felt I was in 'Last Class' !!!

FAs were rude, impolite, unprofessional, unfriendly, and lazy. When we said 'thank you' to them, they either said nothing or just said 'Hmmm.' Several passengers (including AJ and I) who ordered the filet mignon, our meats were still cold. When we told FA about it, his reaction was like it shouldn't be cold. He took the dishes back to reheat.

By the time the FAs started serving desserts, our meal were still not back yet. Then, one FA saw me and suddently realized that they totally forgot about our meals. So he and another FA hurried back to the galley and got our meals. Well.... this time, it's completely heated through but overly heated!! The meat was tough and hard to chew.

During the midflight, FAs rarely came around the cabin checking on the passengers, offering water or refilling water. I had to go to the galley myself several times to ask for water or to refill my water. Everytime I went to the galley, I saw FA either reading Chinese newspapers/magazines, eating or drinking

Then, I got a cup of noodle and took it to the galley for hot water. FA saw me then said, 'Want hot water?' After I said yes, he took the cup of noodle and added the hot water, then gave the noodle back to me! I was like ...

The second time I went back to get the noodle for AJ, FA did the same thing too. I've been on UA Business Class a lot of times, and this was the first time that FA did not bring the noodle to my seat!

Anyway, this flight was so unpleasant. This crew really gave UA a very bad reputation in service.
