| On the Christmas Day of 2006, We took UA 857 to Shanghai for our first trip to China. We brought a few boxes of chocolate for the flight & cabin crews to wish them Merry Christmas. During the flight, many flight attendants came by to thank us. Before landing at PVG, the Purser came over to thank us for the chocolate and gave us a bottle of champagne.... |

| SFO - PVG: Appetizer - Smoked salmon, pate en croute with pistachio, Wensleyddale cheese and vegetable crudite with Parmesan and pepper sauce. Fresh seasonal greens with country ranch dressing. |

| SFO - PVG: Main Course - Braised beef short ribs with port wine sauce, twice baked cheddar potato and green beans with red pepper and marjoram. |

| SFO - PVG: The meat was juicy and tender... So far, I haven't had a bad beef dish on UA flights. |

| SFO - PVG: Prior to Arrival - Asparagus and Asiago puff pastry with pomodoro sauce, Black Forest ham and sauteed zucchini with basil |

| SFO - PVG: The puff pastry wasn't bad except the filling was a bit too cheesy for my taste. |
