At the time we took this flight, ANA (全日空) had not yet rolled out the new Club ANA (Business Class) seats completely. So, we were sitting in the old Club ANA cabin. In June of 2007, I got a chance to experience the new Club ANA and I wrote about it in my blog few months ago under In-Flight Service: ANA (NH) Club ANA In-Flight LAX - NRT 6/2007 (8/15/2007). Before this flight, we've mostly flown on U.S. and European carriers so we're very much looking forward to our first flight with an Asian carrier. |

Steak Meal - I had to ask the FA to heat it again because inside of the meat was still cold cold cold ....... And, the meat was kind of tough and hard to chew |

Pre-Arrival Meal - Japanese Meal. Again, it looked pretty and tasty but tasted so-so. The on board service was certainly better than most of the U.S. carriers. But, to me the overall service on this flight was just a little better than average. I guess because I've been hearing and reading so much about how good the on-board services are on the Asian carriers, so that I had a very hight expection for this flight. I wonder, if I were a Japanese passenger, would I feel differently about its service? NOTE:. The following year, I flew ANA from SFO ~ NRT again, and the overall service was still average. I also noticed that FA paid more attention to male passengers than female passengers..... |
