There are also Audiobooks available, but I did not listen to any.
A special section dedicated just for kids.
Games and other activities for everyone.
iPod connectivity is also available for the new AVOD system.
The new system is quite responsive, and appears to be reliable during the entire flight. I just wish that there are more new release movies and better variety of TV programming.
Now that UA has installed AVOD on most of their 767-300s and more than half of their 747-400s, I wonder how much longer it take to equip the rest of the fleet?
It is handy to have the arrival airport information available, as well as customs and immigrations process, along with different ground transportation options shown on the AVOD.
Our flight has very little head-wind, and we were making good time to Japan.
Our pre-arrival meal is:
Mesquite Turkey with Provolone on rustic torpedo roll. Roasted red potatoes and a fresh fruit appetizer.
This is the most disappointing part of the meal offering. It feels like UA ran out of money when they got to this part of the meal service.
Even thought First Class was completely full today, it only took a few minutes for all of us to deplane. The purser held up deplaning Business Class passengers until all First Class passengers have deplaned.

United's new First Class Suite is mostly a winner. A little more content on the fine AVOD system, and a few dollars spent on the pre-arrival meal would round out the rough spots.
Service level on today's flight and the new Suites certainly deserved a strong B+ / A-.
