'A FIVE-STAR RETREAT IN THE BAVARIAN ALPS Blending harmoniously into its natural environs, InterContinental Berchtesgaden Resort lies 1,000 metres (3,281 feet) above sea level on Eckerbichl. Views of the Alps stretch in every direction, with Mount Watzmann striking an impressive pose. Lake Königssee, the historic Dokumentation Obersalzberg and the city of Salzburg are a short drive away. ' Quote courtesy of InterContinental * * * * * * * * We stayed at this resort soon after its grand opening in the summer of 2005, and really enjoyed the resort as well as the surrounding community of Obersalzberg, and Salzburg is only a short drive away. Southern Bavaria is beautiful with its mountains and pristine lakes, it is beautiful all year round. This is a great resort to spend a few days to recharge and rejuvenate. |
