At the end of our trip to China, the three of us took three different routings back to the US. Alex had some school commitment, and could not accompany us for a visit to our relative in Vancouver. Instead, Alex took the United Airlines non-stop from Shanghai to San Francisco. We were hoping that Alex's flight in First Class was equipped with UA's new first class suites, but it was not to be. |

UA's original First Class suites in the nose of the Boeing 747-400 is configured with 14 suites. |

The old suites on UA is still a decent product, although the seats are showing some signs of wear and tear. The renovation with new suites is certainly a welcome change. |

Alex took 2A on this flight, row 2 is probably has the most spacious feel in this cabin. |
