Stow Lake at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco is a man-made lake, and it is only a few feet deep. Several different kinds of boats are available for rent, including paddle boats, row boats, and electric motor boats. |
|
|
The boat house is located at the northwest corner of the lake. Besides boat rentals, drinks and snacks are also available. |

Row boats are the cheapest, and are most fun for adults. |

Kids of all ages probably enjoy the paddle boats the most. Although they are pretty slow and not too maneuverable. There is space for four people. |

Most people do not know that you could switch the type of boats for the price of the electric boats. Just rent the electric boats for one hour, but start off with the row boats, then switch to the paddle boats and finally the electric boats. Since the rental rates are the cheapest for row boats, most expensive for electric boats, and the paddle boats are in between. This policy is not advertised, but I have always been able to do it , you get to have three times the fun for one hour of rental. |

The ducks are used to people, and will gather around you if you offer some bread. |
