| For our first family trip to Taiwan, our flight arrived in the evening hours just after sunset. |
|

| Our friends live in I-lan 宜蘭, on the east coast of Taiwan. This area is the green union capital of Taiwan. |

| Our friends' neighbor invited us to dinner at his house for a home cooked meal. He even casted the net and caught the freshest fish possible for our meal. |

| Alex indulged on the local snacks a few hours before dinner. |

| For mid-night munchie, we bought freshly made local snacks. |
|
 |
| Taiwanese are very religious, this is a Taoist temple. |

 |
| This lady was deep frying stinky tofu which is a popular snack in Taiwan. |

| We went fishing in the near by fish farm, where their trout ponds are fed by the crystal clear mountain stream. |

| Alex tried his hands on riding a scooter. There are more scooter than people in many areas of Taiwan. |

| Even in the busy city, there are still space set aside for temples for parishioners. |
