This beautiful rose garden is situated between John F. Kennedy Drive and Park Presidio Drive in Golden Gate Park. The rose garden was designed by the assistant Superintendent of Parks, Roy Hudson in 1961. For the San Francisco chapter of the American Rose Society, this is the testing site for varieties of the colorful and infamous bloom.

Today, there are more than 60 rose beds planted in the garden. When the Rose Garden is in full swing, there are about three to four bloom cycles at one time.
