Lufthansa (LH) Airport Lounge: New York JFK (JFK) Senator Lounge 7/2007

Category: Airport Lounge 2007-09-06

This Lufthansa (LH) lounge is located in the departure area of Terminal One in JFK International Airport.

The lounge area is divided into 2 sections, one section is the Senator Lounge which is for LH's Senator members, LH's HON Circle members, and First Class passengers; and the Business Lounge is for LH's Frequent Traveller members, Star Alliance Gold members, and Business Class passengers.

Lounge can be seen from the check-in area and it is before security check
Entrance of the Lufthansa's lounge. A cutout board of Air China flight attendant instead of Lufthansa flight attendand welcoming guests to the lounge.
We were the first three guests in the Senator Lounge. The first impression of the lounge was pretty good - bright and airy.
Lufthansa's colors - blue and gold blend in with the decorations and furnishings. See those chairs, blue with gold trim..... very 'Lufthansaney'
A whole wall with glass panels so that the guests can look out to the gate area and airfield. Here is a glimpse of an Air France plane tail.
Food and Beverage Counter
Comparing to most of the lounges that I've been to, the selection of food and beverage in this lounge was limited and wasn't that great, either.
Just thirty minutes before we left the lounge for our flight, a tray of sandwiches was just brought out...... When I saw the tray, I couldn't believe the presentation! It looked like someone dropped the sandwiches on the floor and stepped on them, then pick them up and thew back into the tray.
A model of Lufthansa airplne is displayed in the lounge, can you tell which plane is this?
