Whenever we visit Tokyo, we always use the Airport Limousine for transportation from Narita airport to Tokyo. It is relatively inexpensive, and very convenient, since many of the routes make stops right at the hotels. |
The buses are modern and well maintained, and runs on a regular schedule, wIth many routes serving Tokyo and cities beyond. |
The ticketing counter for the Limousine bus is within steps of the exit from the immigrations and customs facilities. It is pretty hard to miss the counter even for first time visitors to Tokyo. |
With three of us traveling on this trip, the three tickets cost us 900 yen, about US$90. Taken the Airport Express train would have cost about the same amount, but we would have to transfer to a bus or taxi once we get to the Tokyo train station. Taxi would have cost at least US$200, so the limousine is the best and most convenient option. |
The pick up point is just outside the arrival level, literally a minute walk from the ticketing counter. |
The various bus lines are well posted, and very easy to find the line going to your hotel. |
Before the bus arrives, workers verify the luggages and line them up after tagging them. |
Our bus pulls up right on time, and the workers quickly load the luggages for easy retrieval based on the destination. |
On this day, the bus is only 20% full, and we depart right on schedule. |
With everyone havnig a vacant seat next to them, the trip is very comfortable. |
Legroom is not great, but certainly adequate for the one to two hour trip into Tokyo. |
At the back of the bus is a lavatory. |
A flush toilet and a small wash basin provides for the necessities. |
